Harmony of 1, 2 Chronicles

The history books of the Old Testament appear in chronological order - but 1 Chronicles and 2 Chronicles is a second history (written later) - and many of the events contained within already have appeared elsewhere - in 2 Samuel, 1 Kings and 2 Kings. This means that persons reading the books of the Bible in order will start to experience 'deja vu' in 1 and 2 Chronicles as they start to encounter the same events being told again.

This chart shows references to some major events which appear twice within these books. This chart is not all-inclusive, but is intended to keep the reader oriented to the sequence of events when reading these books.
