The model turns out to have been sent to Egyptian Nezam el Moulk, also a resident of the club. While outside, they see el Moulk's limosine careening through the city, stopping in front of the club, apparently driven by his dead chauffeur!

Christie, Agatha A Caribbean Mystery Harper 1992 paperback, Miss Marple. very good condition.

Miss Jane Marple relaxes at a resort in the Caribbean, until the apparently natural death of fellow guest Major Palgrave. Miss Marple is disturbed as the previous evening he was in good health, and almost showed her "a snapshot of a murderer". Convinced that his death was not at all natural, she begins to ask difficult questions, and another victim dies.

Christie, Agatha Murder with Mirrors Pocket Books ? paperback, has a nice crime scene map and cast of characters listing.

Jane Marple comes to visit Carrie Louise and Stonygates. Two-hundred-odd juvenile delinquents were no problem at all, compared with the half-dozen members of a wealthy family who were intimately connected with murder!

Christie, Agatha Mysterious Mr. Quin Berkley 1984 paperback, excellent condition.

Harley Quin is an enigma. Even his friend Mr Satterthwaite is unable to understand how the man seems to appear and disappear almost like a trick of the light. In fact, the only consistent thing about the Mysterious Mr Quin is that his presence is always a harbinger of love ... or death.

Tommy and Tuppence Beresford have just become the proud owners of an old house in an English village. Madame Rosika Storey is a beautiful, wealthy investigator. Mme. Storey receives a plea for help from Melanie Soupert, imprisoned for a jewel theft while working as a domestic. A criminal organization helps her escape, then holds her prisoner for their own purposes - that is, committing crimes for their own benefit. Mme. Storey seeks to track down the organization by masquerading as a thief herself.

Gardner, Erle Stanley Murder Up My Sleeve World Publishing / Tower Books 1944 hardcover, 1944 reprint of 1937 original. Not a Perry Mason, this is1 of his 2 Terry Clane novels. Reading copy only, fair condition. Has water stains on page edges, pages are ripply. My fault, left book on nightstand next to water bottle which cat knocked over. Wartime paper is browned and brittle. A bookworm hole (yes, a bookworm hole) has been bored into the page edges to a depth of about 1/2". A chunk of p. 29/30 is missing, but I have another copy and will take photo of that page for you so you will not miss any text. An unknown dead man is found in the office of a prosperous publisher. His clothes are on backward, and all of the furniture in the room has been reversed. Ellery Queen continues to uncover "backward" clues--leading him to the identity of this puzzling victim.

The play "Gunplay" is playing to packed houses at the Roman Theatre on Broadway. Sometime in the second act, Monte Field is found dead in the last row of the audience. Cause of death is found to be an obscure poison. An odd aspect is that his top hat is missing.

Ransome, Stephen (Frederick C. Davis) Alias His Wife Dodd, Mead 1965 hardcover, ex-library, dust jacket has clear plastic overlay, good condition but well-read.

Ross Quarent is an assistant prosecutor. Paula is his second wife, after a brief first marriage to Carol Wilson. Paula begins receiving anonymous letters addressed to PaulaSpencer (her maiden name). A letter states their marriage is invalid, as Ross was never divorced from his first wife Carol. This would make Ross a bigamist, and subject to prosecution; which would ruin his career. The blackmail attempt soon turns to murder.

Political thriller (not a Nero Wolfe). President Kidnapped! Hysteria and treason shrouded Washington- the Vice President a virtual prisoner-the Army threatened revolt, the country reeled toward disaster. The whole burden of the search for the President rested on Secret Service agent Chick Moffat.
