Old friends discover a small model of a gallows while in the lounge at the Hellfire Club, where they live along with our narrator. The model turns out to have been sent to Egyptian Nezam el Moulk, also a resident of the club. While outside, they see el Moulk's limosine careening through the city, stopping in front of the club, apparently driven by his dead chauffeur!

Christie, Agatha Murder on the Orient Express BBC radio dramatization 1993 2 cassettes, 140 minutes Christie, Agatha Murder with Mirrors Pocket Books ? paperback, has a nice crime scene map and cast of characters listing.
Jane Marple comes to visit Carrie Louise and Stonygates. Two-hundred-odd juvenile delinquents were no problem at all, compared with the half-dozen members of a wealthy family who were intimately connected with murder!

Harley Quin is an enigma. Even his friend Mr Satterthwaite is unable to understand how the man seems to appear and disappear almost like a trick of the light. In fact, the only consistent thing about the Mysterious Mr Quin is that his presence is always a harbinger of love ... or death.

The Clarion supported Selby and Baldwin, and rival paper The Blade opposed them. They have just taken office when a minister, Charles Brower, is found dead in a hotel room. Circumstances point to suicide, but Selby suspects foul play.
