Train Order signals are installed at Sanford Tower (ST) and Pamola Tower (PT) to provide Train Orders to trains passing into, or off, the layout. The signals may display either Proceed (yellow) or Stop for Orders (red).Prior to session:
- Set all signals to Proceed
- Roll 1 die. Result of 1-4 indicates corresponding Train Order Signal to be set to Stop. Result of 5 or 6 indicates no orders.
- Tower ST, northbound
- Tower ST, southbound
- Tower PT, northbound
- Tower PT, southbound
- If a signal is set to Stop, roll 1 die to obtain the order, corresponding to the result:
Train Order Signal 1, Tower ST northbound
- Hotbox on last car. Flag as Bad Order, drop at KEN for RIP
- Back to interchange track for additional load
- KES main out of service in front of station. Use alternate track.
- Back to interchange. Pick up dead loco in tow, for transfer N
- Main out of service beginning at Block 17
- Back to interchange. Pick up caboose for transfer N
Train Order Signal 2, Tower ST southbound
- Interchange track out of service for 1 hour.
- Back to KES, pickup express car.
- Interchange track out of service for 1 hour.
- Back to KES. Pick up dead loco in tow, for transfer S
- Back to KES, minor RIP needed on loco
- Hold for additional load coming from DAV
Train Order Signal 3, Tower PT northbound
- Interchange track out of service for 1 hour.
- Back to PAM, pick up additional load.
- Interchange track out of service for 1 hour.
- Back to PAM. Pick up dead loco in tow, for transfer N
- Back to PAM, minor RIP needed on loco
- Hold for additional load coming from DAV
Train Order Signal 4, Tower PT southbound
- First car bad order, flag, set off at PAM for repair
- Back to interchange track for additional load
- PAM main out of service, use passing track
- Back to interchange. Pick up dead loco in tow, for transfer S
- PAM switch nearest tower out of service to siding, set for main only
- Back to interchange. Pick up caboose for transfer S
