The Night Owl

The Night Owl arriving at Cape Ann station

Train 000, The Night Owl, is an afternoon commuter run originating at Kenton, following the opposite route as the morning Angus King. The train departs Kenton with two coaches and a cafe/lounge car, and stops at Cape Ann. Here it drops off one coach and the cafe/lounge car, which are being spotted for next morning.

The Night Owl then continues to Davis where it will hold for the night.

Notes on the model:

The train is named "The Night Owl" in memory of Amtrak's Night Owl, which ran a slow schedule departing Boston at midnight for a leisurely 7 AM arrival at Washington DC. Since it contained sleepers, it was a most convenient way to travel to DC overnight.
