Kenton Junction station

Kenton, also called Kenton Junction, is the busiest point on the system. Every passenger train on the system stops at Kenton. Not only does the Amtrak Downeaster stop here, but this is point where The Acadian picks up northbound cars from The Angus King every morning, and drops cars for the Night Owl every afternoon. The two sections join to become one in the same manner as Amtrak's Lake Shore Limited, which combines Boston and New York sections before continuing to Chicago.

Kenton is named in memory of Kenton Mudgett (1922-2006), a friend and model railroader from Dover NH.
